Preparation of Necessary Items
When the gateway is delivered, check that the main unit and all standard accessories are
included.
Then, refer to “Items you need to prepare” listed below and prepare a PoE-compliant switch and
an Ethernet cable.
In addition, a PC equipped with an Ethernet port is required to configure various gateway
settings.

Items you need to prepare
• IEEE 802.3at-based PoE-compliant switch or PoE injector
• Ethernet cable
Used to feed power to the gateway and connect to the gateway configuration PC.
- Category: Category 5e or higher
- Environmental resistance: Outdoor specifications (for outdoor installation)
- Length: 100 m max. (Conforms to the specifications of the PoE switch or PoE injector to
be used.)
• Gateway configuration PC
Used to configure gateway settings and carry out maintenance.
- Communication interface: Ethernet
- Browser: Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc.
• SIM card (when connecting to a mobile telephone network)
This gateway is compliant with LTE communications. A SIM card is required to connect to
the Internet via a mobile telephone network.
- Carrier: Refer to the gateway specifications issued by Multi-Tech Systems.
