5.9.
Piping requirements for CSA Explosionproof
To comply with CSA Certification, each cable glands of FC33E should be covered by CONDUIT pipe
(Refer to figure 5.34 below).

Attach the
CONDUIT to the Conduit Coupler (M20 female thread inside) and fully tighten it. Ensure that
the Seal Nut does not come loose during this process by holding it with a spanner (not attached)
For Canadian Installations, housing of the Base box must be bonded to ground according to Section 18
of the CEC(
Canadian Electrical Code ) Part I Safety Standard for Electrical Installations. .
For Zone 1 field wiring, according to Canadian Electrical Code, must apply CSA certified cable gland
with appropriate rating. (This product complies with already such requirement at the time of factory
shipment.) And the final assembly shall be evaluated and subjected to acceptance of local authority
having jurisdiction. (This requirement shall be customer jurisdiction.).
For Zone 2 field wiring, please refer to appropriate rule of CEC, and take a proper measures to sealing
the conduit enter..
