Explanation
Test Type (Type)
Memory
Tests whether or not the internal CPU board RAM and ROM are operating properly. If they are
operating properly, "Success" appears. If an error occurs, “Fail” appears.
Keyboard
Tests whether the front panel keys and knobs are operating correctly and whether the soft keyboard
accepts input properly.
• The front panel keys are operating properly if the background color of the names of the keys that
you press turns white or green.
• Knobs are operating properly if you turn them slowly, press them, or move them up, down,
left, and right depending on the type of knob and the background color of the names or arrows
changes to white or green.
• The soft keyboard is operating properly if you can enter the specified characters.
Printer
Tests whether or not the optional built-in printer is operating properly. The built-in printer is operating
properly if the print density is correct. If an error occurs, the print density will not be correct.
DLMsync
Tests whether or not the option’s synchronous operation feature is operating properly. Connect
the two DLM5000s with a connection cable, and start (Connect) the synchronous operation. Stop
acquiring waveforms, and then execute the test on the main unit.
If they are operating properly,
“Success” appears. If an error occurs, “Fail” appears.
Note
• Accuracy is a service test item. Under normal circumstances, you do not need to perform these tests.
• The DLMsync soft key menu is displayed only when the /SYN option is installed.
If an Error Occurs during a Self-Test
If an error occurs even after you carry out the following procedure, contact your nearest
YOKOGAWA dealer.
• Execute the self-test again several times.
• Check that the paper is set properly in the built-in printer and that the paper is not jammed.
• Connect the connection cable securely to the synchronous operation I/O connector, and check
that it is locked in place.
• In the case of a synchronous operation feature test, check that is displayed at the top of the
screen on the main unit.
