USING THE DEVICE
WARNING:
Some smoke may come out of the unit during first use and an unpleasant smell may appear. The
iron might also make cracking noises. Those are natural phenomena and should let off quickly.
Fabrics with especially sensitive finish (creases, pleats, shiny elements etc.) may only be ironed
at low temperature settings.
Fabrics consisting of several materials should be ironed according to instructions regarding the
most sensitive one, for example, if a fabric is made of 60% polyester and 40% cotton, it should be
ironed at low temperature, without steam.
It is recommended to begin ironing starting from items requiring the lowest temperatures. If you
want to iron a fabric that requires low temperature after previously having ironed a fabric that
required high temperature, leave the iron until its temperature lowers.
Do not use the iron on metal / scratching pieces such as zips, buttons etc.
If your mains water is very hard, use a 50/50 solution of distilled and mains water.
The
“•” position is appropriate for synthetic fabrics such as nylon or acetate.
The
“••” is appropriate for wool, silk or mixes.
The
“•••” position is appropriate for cotton and linen.
The
“••” and “•••” positions are appropriate for steam ironing. Attempts to generate steam
at a lower setting may cause hot condensed water to leak.
IMPORTANT:
The iron is equipped with an automatic shutoff system. The device will turn off after a few
minutes of inactivity in the vertical position and after several dozen seconds in the horizontal position.
When ironing cordless, remember to lift up the base and tilt it every now and then to prevent power-off.
The automatic shutoff is indicated by sound signals and readiness indicator blinking.
I. TRADITIONAL IRONING:
DRY IRONING
1. Plug the unit in and put the control knob into a position appropriate for a given fabric.
2. Place the iron on the base. If you want to iron cordless, put the base lock in the position.
Otherwise, put it in the position. When ironing cordless, place the device on the base every
about 35 seconds.
3. Wait for the heating indicator to turn off and the readiness indicator to light up green. Commence
ironing.
4. After finishing work, turn the unit off, unplug it and wait for it to cool down completely. To achieve
best results allow the ironed item to cool down completely. This will prevent new creases during
folding or putting on clothing.
