You can control who to speak to by using the following
soft keys
:
Split
Hold
Manage
End Call
Split
Splits the conference call into two individual calls on hold, you
can switch between the calls using the up and down navigation
buttons.
Hold
Places the conference call on hold, neither party can hear you
Manage
This allows you to manage each party on the call. You select
the party to be managed by using the left and right navigation
buttons.
Far Mute
Prevents the selected party from being heard.
They can hear everyone but no one can hear
them.
Remove
Removes the party from the conference call.
New Call
Allows you to place a new call.
B
ack
Returns to the previous screen.
Transferring a Call
To transfer a call press the
Trans
soft key
when presented on the phone screen.
This gives you the options to transfer the incoming call to an entered number via
the key pad. The current call will be placed on hold while the screen will display a
flashing cursor inviting you to enter the name of the number or name of the
contact you wish to call. As you start to dial a number the phone’s screen will
display a list of phone numbers from your recent call history list that most closely
match the numbers you have entered so far.
Pressing the
123
soft key
will give you the option of alphanumeric entry. Scroll
down to the name or number you wish to transfer the call to and press the
Tran
soft key
again.
You may also enter
short codes
attributed to numbers in the portal address books.
In this instance the
Dir
soft key
only looks in the local phone address book, not
the portal website directories.
Once the number rings you may hang up for an unattended transfer or hang on
until the called party answers for an attended transfer. In this instance the caller
being transferred is kept on hold and unable to hear you until you do the final
transfer by pressing the
Trans
soft key
.
Missed Calls
If you wish to check for missed calls on your phone then select the
History
soft
key
on the home menu and scroll across until the screen lists ‘Missed Calls’. You
may then scroll down to select a particular call. Pressing the
Option
soft key
will
then allow you to examine the detail of the missed call –number, time and
duration. Alternatively you can delete it or save it into your local directory.
