contact between the power cord and sharp edges and hot objects and surfaces. During oper-
ation, the power cord must always be fully extended and the position of the power cord must
be set so that it does not become an obstacle during operation. The power cord should not
be placed in a manner which would pose a risk of tripping. The power supply socket should
be located in a place where it is always possible to quickly remove the device power cord
plug. Always pull the power cord by the plug housing when unplugging it, never by the cord.
If the power cord or the plug is damaged, immediately disconnect it from the power supply
and contact an authorised service centre of the manufacturer for replacement. Do not use
the product with a damaged power cord or plug. The power cord or plug cannot be repaired
and must be replaced with a new one that is free of defects if these components are dam-
aged. WARNING! The metal components of the device can be hot during and immediately
after use. Do not touch them, as it may cause severe burns. Allow the device components to
cool down. Use gloves which protect against high temperatures if you need to move these
components before they cool down. Make sure that the
fl
oor near the place of use of the
appliance is not slippery. This will prevent slipping, which can cause serious injuries. Never
block or restrict the throughput of the heat gun’s air inlet openings. Never point the device
at people or animals. Do not check the blowing temperature by directing the air stream to-
wards any part of the body. Never use the device as a hair dryer. Do not use the device in
the bathroom or near water. Do not touch the outlet end of the heat gun, as this may cause
burns. After use, allow the tool to cool down before storing. If the device is not equipped with
a special function for cooling the components which have been heated after use, do not in
any way accelerate the process of self-cooling of the device’s components.
APPLIANCE OPERATION
Installation of equipment components
CAUTION! Only install the accessories when the supply voltage is disconnected. Pull the power cord plug out of the socket!
Before installing and removing the nozzle attachment, make sure that all parts have cooled down.
If the heat gun is equipped with accessories, these can be mounted by placing them on the device’s nozzle tip (II).
Starting and stopping the device
Switch the lamp on by moving the switch to the “I” position.
Further switching to the positions marked “II”, “III”, etc., depending on the model, increases the speed and/or air
fl
ow temperature
or activates additional operating modes.
The device is switched o
ff
when the switch is set to the “0” position. The sound of a running fan will no longer be audible. Leave
the heat gun to cool down. Safely place the heat gun on the back wall with the nozzle facing upwards.
Air
fl
ow temperature adjustment (III)
Moving the switch to the “I” position starts the heat gun and sets the mode in which the heat gun is cooled down at the end of
operation. You cannot change the temperature settings, but you can change the air
fl
ow speed. Increasing the air
fl
ow speed will
speed up cooling, but if there is no need for rapid cooling, leave the default settings. Temperature changes which are too fast can
shorten the life of the device. Place the heat gun on its rear wall for cooling. Make sure that the fan does not suck in dirt from the
ground during cooling. When cooling is complete, turn o
ff
the heat gun with the power switch, disconnect the power cord from the
socket and leave the device to cool down to room temperature on its own.
Turning the switch to the “II” position allows you to access all the functions of the heat gun. You can adjust the air
fl
ow tempera-
ture and the air
fl
ow speed. The values are shown on the heat gun’s display. Temperature adjustment is indicated by a
fl
ashing
triangular indicator on both sides of the screen. If the
fl
ashing stops, the temperature shown on the display has been reached.
Press the mode change button to call up the combination of temperature and air
fl
ow speed stored in the device’s memory. If the
factory-set values do not suit the user, call up one of the factory settings, change the temperature and/or the air
fl
ow speed using
