WHILE OPERATING

WHEN USING THE TOOL AS A BLOWER

WHEN USING THE TOOL AS A VACUUM

OTHER SAFETY WARNINGS

RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION

5

The  circuit(s)  or  outlet(s)  that  will  be  used  with  this

Blower/Vac should be equipped with Ground Fault Circuit

Interrupter  (GFCI)  protection.  Receptacles  with  built-in

GFCI protection should be used as an added safety mea-

sure.

A  nameplate  on  the  Blower/Vac  indicates  the  voltage

used. Do not connect the blower to an AC power supply

that differs from this voltage.

Inspect all extension cords and the Blower/Vac's power

cord  on  a  regular  basis.  Look  closely  for  deterioration,

cuts, or cracks in the insulation. Inspect the connections

for damage. Repair or replace the extension cord or the

power cored if any defects are found.

Avoid  dangerous  environments.  Do  not  operate  the

Blower/Vac  in  damp  or  wet  conditions.  Moisture  is  a

shock hazard.

Do not use the Blower/Vac in the rain.

Do not handle the plug or the Blower/Vac with wet hands.

Wear safety glasses or goggles that meet ANSI Z87.1-

1989 standards. Wear ear/hearing protection when oper-

ating this Blower/Vac. Wear a face mask or a dust mask

when operating the Blower/Vac in a dusty environment.

Wearing long sleeves is recommended.

Wear heavy, long pants, boots, and gloves. Do not wear

loose clothing, jewellery, short pants, or sandals, and do

not go barefoot. Tie back loose hair.

Avoid  accidental  start-ups.  Do  not  carry  a  Blower/Vac

that is plugged in with a finger on the trigger switch. Verify

that the switch is in the OFF position when plugging in the

Blower/Vac.

If the motor is running, do not set the Blower/Vac down on

any surface except a clean, hard area. Debris such as

gravel, sand, dust, grass, etc., could be picked up by the

air intake and thrown out through the discharge opening,

which  could  damage  the  Blower/Vac  or  property,  or

cause serious injury to bystanders or the operator.

Use  the  right  tool  for  the  job  to  be  done.  Use  this

Blower/Vac only for its intended purpose.

Do  not  overreach.  Always  keep  proper  footing  and

balance. Do not operate from an unstable surface such

as a ladder, a tree, a slope, or a rooftop.

Do  not  abuse  the  power  cord.  Do  not  pull  or  carry  the

Blower/Vac by the cord, use the cord as a handle, close

a door on the cord, or pull the cord around sharp edges

or corners. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces, oil,

and sharp edges.

Do not unplug the Blower/Vac by pulling on the cord. To

unplug the Blower/Vac, grasp the plug, not the cord.

Stay alert, and use common sense. In order to prevent

injury to the operator and to others, do not operate this

Blower/Vac when fatigued.

Do not operate the Blower/Vac while under the influence

of drugs, alcohol, or medication.

Do not leave the Blower/Vac plugged in when it is not in

use,  while  changing  attachments,  or  when  it  is  being

serviced.

Do not put any object into any of the openings. Do not

use  this  Blower/Vac  if  any  of  the  air  openings  are

blocked. Keep the air openings free of dirt, debris, and

anything that may reduce the air flow.

Keep  hair,  loose  clothing,  fingers,  and  all  parts  of  the

body away from openings and moving parts.

When servicing this blower, only use replacement parts

that are identical to those that are listed in this manual.

Call  the  Toll-Free  Helpline  (1-866-523-5218)  for  infor-

mation. The use of unauthorized parts, accessories, or

attachments may lead to serious injury or damage to the

product, and will void the warranty.

Do not force the Blower/Vac. It will do the job better and

with less likelihood of injury when it is used at the rate

that it was designed to work at.

Do not use the Blower/Vac without the Blower/Vac tube

and snap-on bag attached.

• Turn off all controls before unplugging the Blower/Vac.

• Unplug the Blower/Vac before attempting to install or

remove the Blower/Vac tube or vacuum bag. Verify that

the  blades  of  the  impeller  are  stopped.  Avoid  any

contact with rotating blades.

Do not point the Blower/Vac in the direction of people or

pets, or in the direction of windows. Use extra caution

when blowing debris near solid objects such as trees,

automobiles, and walls.

Avoid situations that could cause the snap-on bag to catch

fire. Do not operate the Blower/Vac near an open flame.

Do not vacuum warm ashes from a fireplace, barbecue

pit,  brush  pile,  etc.  Do  not  vacuum  discarded  cigars  or

as leaves, grass, small twigs, and bits of paper. Do not

attempt  to  vacuum  wet  debris  and/or  standing  water.

Doing so may result in damage to the the Blower/Vac. In

order  to  avoid  severe  damage  to  the  impeller,  do  not

vacuum metal, broken glass, etc.

Be sure to secure the the Blower/Vac while transporting.

Store the the Blower/Vac in a high, dry, locked area, out

ized use or damage.

Do not douse or squirt the the Blower /Vac with water or

any other liquid. Keep the handles dry, clean, and free

of debris. Clean the the Blower/Vac after each use. See

the Cleaning and Storage instructions.

Keep  this  Owner's  Manual  in  a  safe  place  for  future

reference.  Refer  to  these  instructions  often,  and  use

them  to  instruct  other  users.  If  the  blower  is  used  by
