HOLDING THE BLOWER/VAC

Stand  in  the  operating  position  before  turning  the 

Blower/Vac on. Verify the following:

The  operator  is  wearing  proper  clothing,  including 

boots,  safety  glasses  or  goggles,  ear/hearing  protec-

tion, gloves, long pants, and long sleeves.

WARNING:

 In order to avoid serious personal 

injury,  wear  goggles  or  safety  glasses  at  all 

times when operating this Blower/Vac. Wear a 

face mask or a dust mask in dusty locations

If  the  conditions  are  dusty,  the  operator  is  wearing  a 

dust mask or face mask.

The Blower/Vac is in good working condition.

The  Blower/Vac  tubes  and  bag  are  installed  properly 

and securely.

WARNING: 

In  order  to  prevent  serious 

personal  injury  or  damage  to  the  product, 

verify that the blower tubes or vacuum tubes 

and  the  vacuum  bag  are  in  position  before 

using the Blower/Vac.

The snap-on bag is installed and zipped closed (when 

used as a vacuum)

Verify that the Blower/Vac is not directed at any person 

or at any loose debris before turning it on.

Verify that the Blower/Vac is in good working condition. 

Verify  that  all  tubes  and  guards  are  in  position  and 

secure.

Always hold the Blower/Vac with both hands when it is 

in use.

Keep a firm grip on both the front and rear handles or 

grips.

In order to reduce the risk of hearing loss associated 

with  excessive  sound  level(s),  hearing  protection  is 

required.

Operate power equipment only at reasonable hours — 

do not use this Blower/Vac early in the morning or late 

at night, when people might be disturbed. Comply with 

local  by-laws.  Usual  recommendations  are  between 

8:00  a.m.  and  6:00  p.m.  on  Monday  -  Thursday,  or 

between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Friday - Sunday

In  order  to  reduce  noise  levels,  limit  the  number  of 

pieces of equipment that are used at a time.

In  order  to  reduce  noise  levels,  operate  this  electric 

Blower/Vac at the lowest possible speed that will do the 

job.

Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing.

Dampen surfaces slightly when using the Blower/Vac in 

dusty conditions.

Conserve  water  by  using  a  Blower/Vac  instead  of  a 

hose for many lawn and garden applications, including 

areas such as gutters, screens, patios, grills, porches, 

and gardens.

Be  aware  of  children,  pets,  open  windows,  or  freshly 

washed cars, and blow debris safely away.

Clean  up  after  using  a  blower  and  other  equipment. 

Dispose of debris in an appropriate manner.

Do not cover the air vents. Keep them free of obstructions 

and debris. They must remain clear at all times in order to 

ensure proper cooling of the motor (Fig. 15).

WARNING:

 In order to avoid serious personal 

injury,  do  not  wear  loose  fitting  clothing  or 

articles such as scarves, strings, chains, a tie, 

etc,. that may get drawn into the air vents. Tie 

back long hair above shoulder level in order to 

ensure  that  it  will  not  get  drawn  into  the  air 

vents.
