Remove the large shoulder bolt and
washer on the left hand side of the en-
gine pulley with an adjustable wrench.
See Figure 25.
NOTE:
Reference to right hand or
left hand side of machine are ob-
served from the operating position.
•
Remove the cotter pin and washer from
the ferrule in order to disconnect the
auger idler rod from the brake bracket
assembly as shown in Figure 26.
•
Slip the auger drive belt (the front belt)
off the engine pulley. See Figure 28.
•
Pull the brake bracket assembly to-
wards the cable guide roller and
unhook the auger cable “Z” fitting. See
Figure 26.
•
Remove
the
top
screws
and
lockwashers which attach the auger
housing assembly to the frame assem-
bly. A 9/16" wrench is required. See
Figure 27.
•
Separate the auger housing from the
frame assembly by tilting the housing
forward and pulling up the handles.
•
Rest the handle assembly on the
ground and tip the remaining half for-
ward to rest on the housing.
To Remove the Auger Drive Belt:
a. Using a 9/16" wrench remove the five
belt keepers and lockwashers from
around the auger pulley. See Figure
28.
b. Remove and replace auger drive
belt.
c. Replace lockwashers and belt keep-
ers.
