Lay out ﬁ ve (1457) Common Rafters and one (1456) Centre Rafter on a hard ﬂ at surface as shown in F8.4.

Place one (1452) Bottom Rafter on the bottom of the one (1456) Centre Rafter and ﬁ ve (1457) Common Rafter

ﬂ ush to the outside edge and attach (1452) Bottom Rafter to each of the Rafters with two #8 x 2-1/2” Wood Screws
per board. The screws are inserted at an angle. (F8.4 and F8.6)

Place one (1453) Top Rafter and attach to each of the Rafters with two #8 x 2-1/2” Wood Screws per board.
