Engine control settings (SETTING function)

3. Select the area that you want to adjust
using the “ / / / ” button,
and then push the set button.
The value in the selected area will flash
2 times.
4. Change the adjustment value using the
“ / ” button.
The adjustment range for each area is
from –7 to +7.
For the engine speed and throttle posi-
tion values of each area, refer to the fol-
lowing illustrations.
Engine speed
1. Low engine speed
2. Medium engine speed
3. High engine speed
Throttle position
1. Small opening angle
2. Medium opening angle
3. Large opening angle
TIP
●
To increase the fuel injection amount,
change the adjustment value to a positive
(+) value. To decrease the fuel injection
amount, change the adjustment value to a
negative (–) value.
●
The difference between the adjustment val-
ues of adjacent areas must not be exces-
sive. The difference between the
adjustment values of adjacent areas should
be within ±3.
●
The settings will not be reflected in the en-
gine idling speed range (approximately
3000 rpm and at a throttle position of 2 de-
grees or less).
●
The engine speed and throttle position for
each area, as well as the increases and de-
creases to the fuel injection amount accord-
ing to the adjustment values, vary
according to the model.
Example: 2010 YZ450F

Engine speed
Low engine speed
: 4000 rpm
Medium engine speed : 6500 rpm
High engine speed
: 9000 rpm
