P. ADJUSTING THE REAR SHOCK
ABSORBER
1. Remove:
●
seat
2. Loosen the clamp screw (1), and then
disconnect the air intake duct.
3. Disconnect the air filter breather hose
(2), and then remove the air filter case
(3) (with the air intake duct).
NOTE:
_
When checking the spring preload, place a
suitable stand under the frame to keep the
rear wheels raised. No weight must be on
the rear wheels.

a. Loosen the locknut (4).
b. Turn the adjusting nut (5) in direction
(b) or (c) until the correct adjustment is
obtained.
c. Tighten the locknut to specification.
CAUTION:
Never attempt to turn the adjusting nut
beyond the maximum or minimum set-
ting.
NOTE:
Always tighten the locknut against the
adjusting nut, then torque it to specifica-
tion.

6. Install:
●
air filter case (with air intake duct)
NOTE:
Align the projection (d) on the carburetor
with the slot (e) in the air intake duct.

1. Déposer:
●
selle
2. Desserrer la vis du collier (1), puis débran-
cher le conduit d’air.
3. Débrancher la durite de mise à l’air (2) du
filtre à air, puis déposer le boîtier de filtre à
air (3) (conduit d’air branché).
N.B.:
_
Placer un support adéquat sous le cadre afin de
surélever les roues arrière pour pouvoir contrô-
ler la précontrainte de ressort. Rien ne doit
peser sur les roues arrière.
4. Contrôler:

a. Desserrer le contre-écrou (4).
b. Tourner l’écrou de réglage (5) dans le sens
(b) ou (c) jusqu’à obtention du réglage cor-
rect.
c. Serrer le contre-écrou comme spécifié.
ATTENTION:
Ne jamais tourner l’écrou de réglage au-
delà de la limite maximum ou minimum.
N.B.:
Toujours bloquer le contre-écrou contre
l’écrou de réglage, puis le serrer au couple spé-
cifié.

6. Monter:
●

N.B.:
Aligner la saillie (d) sur le carburateur et la
fente (e) du conduit d’air.
