YAMAHA w arrants to the CUSTOMER of a MOTORCYCLE
co v ered b y this w arranty w ith a displacement of 50cc or greater,
that the MOTORCYCLE is designed, bu ilt and e qu ipped so as to
conform at the time of DELI V ERY w ith all federal emissions
standards applica b le at the time of man u fact u re and that it is free
from defects in materials and w orkmanship w hich w o u ld ca u se it
not to meet these standards w ithin the periods listed immediately
b elo w . Fail u res other than those res u lting from defects in material
or w orkmanship, w hich arise solely as a res u lt of o w ner a bu se
and/or lack of proper maintenance, are not co v ered b y this
w arranty.
Section E — Emissions Control System Warranty
(For applicable models only)
This w arranty is in addition to, and not a modification of, any
w arranty re qu ired b y the la w s of any pro v ince of Canada.
S ub ject to any applica b le sales or cons u mer legislation, the a b o v e
w arranty is in lie u of any w arranty or representation, expressed or
implied, incl u ding any w arranty of performance, merchanta b ility or
fitness for a partic u lar p u rpose on the part of YAMAHA, and any
other o b ligation or lia b ility on b ehalf of YAMAHA, and the a b o v e
w arranty constit u tes yo u r sole remedy and the f u ll lia b ility of
YAMAHA. In no e v ent shall YAMAHA b e lia b le for special, incidental
or conse qu ential damages ho w soe v er ca u sed, w hether b y
negligence or other w ise res u lting directly or indirectly from the u se
of the MOTORCYCLE, or the MOTORCYCLE ha v ing replacement
parts or the u na v aila b ility of replacement parts.
YAMAHA does not ass u me, or a u thorize any person to create or
ass u me for YAMAHA, any o b ligation or lia b ility in connection w ith
the MOTORCYCLE or any part thereof distri bu ted b y YAMAHA.

Tires s u pplied as original e qu ipment on yo u r MOTORCYCLE are
w arranted separately b y the indi v id u al tire man u fact u rer or its
representati v es. Generally speaking, this w arranty co v ers defects in
w orkmanship or material.

If yo u r MOTORCYCLE is not to b e u sed for 60 days or more, it
m u st b e properly stored to ens u re against deterioration. Yo u sho u ld
cons u lt yo u r O w ner’s Man u al for storage details, bu t WE
RECOMME N D THAT YOU HA V E A N AUTHORIZED YAMAHA
MOTORCYCLE DEALER PREPARE YOUR MOTORCYCLE FOR
STORAGE. Their highly-trained staff ha

qu alifications to do the jo b right.
YAMAHA cannot accept responsi b ility for damage to yo u r v ehicle or
personal inj u ry res u lting from negligence or lack of experience in
the preparation of yo u r MOTORCYCLE for storage.
Storin g Your MOTORCYCLE
The DEALER has assem b led, inspected and tested the
MOTORCYCLE according to the Yamaha Motorcycle Pre-deli v ery
Inspection Checklist prior to DELI V ERY to the CUSTOMER (some
items may not b e applica b le to all models). These items incl u de:

pro v ided to the CUSTOMER at the time of DELI V ERY.

If yo u sho u ld mo v e after yo u ha v e p u rchased yo u r MOTORCYCLE,
please contact the DEALER w ho w ill for w ard the re qu ired
information to YAMAHA. Pro v ide the DEALER w ith the model name
and serial n u m b er as sho w n on the N . V .I.S., along w ith yo u r ne w
mailing address (or other information). This w ill ens u re that
YAMAHA has an u p-to-date registration record.
