Overall
Clicks and pops occur occasionally.
Noise can be produced by nearby electronic devices being turned on
or off, electrical motors, or similar sources. Try to use an electrical
output as far away from the suspected noise source as possible. If no
cause can be found, contact your Yamaha service center.
–
Interference from mobile phones, radios,
television sets, and similar devices.
Interference can be caused by mobile phones, radio transmitters, or
similar devices operating in the vicinity of the instrument. If the noise
seems to be excessive contact your Yamaha service center.
–
The instrument causes interference with
radios or television sets.
This instrument can cause interference if operated too close to radio
or television receivers. Move the instrument further away from the
receiving devices if interference occurs.
–
No response to long button presses.
The long-press (sensitivity) parameter may be set to too long a time.
Reduce the time setting.
No Sound
No Sound
Local Control may be off. If off it should be turned on.
The volume may be turned all the way down. Turn it up to an
appropriate level.
A pair of headphones or external speakers may be connected.
–
The mute function may be engaged. Turn it off.
MIDI connection is not established with the Master TENORI-ON, or
does not operate properly, even though "Slave Mode" is selected in
the "Preference menu".
–
Some notes cut off.
The instrument’s 32-note maximum polyphony has been exceeded
(i.e. more than 32 notes are being played at once).
–
In all modes other than the Push Mode, only one note of a given pitch
can play at the same time in a single layer. When a second note of the
same pitch is played in the same layer, any previous note of the same
pitch is turned off before the new note is played.
–
The Sound Length setting is too long. The TENORI-ON uses a stereo
tone generator (each note uses two notes of the instrument’s
polyphony), so when a long Sound Length is specified the maximum
polyphony (number of simultaneous notes) can be easily exceeded,
with the result that the notes may not play as expected.
–
Pitch and Voices
The scale assigned to the vertical/
horizontal axis does not sound right.
A scale other than the default Ionian scale has been selected. Select
the Ionian scale.
When a new block is selected and the
voice is changed, the voice used in the
first layer changes as well.
The same voice applies to the same-numbered layers in all blocks.
Data Storage and Initialization
Settings are not retained at the next
power-on.
Save settings you want retained using the Save As Default function.
Some parameters are not initialized when
the Reset All Blocks function is executed.
Some parameters saved using the Save As Default function are not
initialized.
