Display main screen
The main screen of the display has two
different themes; Explorer (See page
2-6.) and Street (See page 2-6.). Some
functions are not available in all
themes. (See page 4-14.)

Stop the vehicle before making any
setting changes. Changing settings
while riding can distract the opera-
tor and increase the risk of an acci-
dent.
TIP
This model uses a thin-film-tran-
sistor liquid-crystal display (TFT
LCD) for good contrast and read-
ability in various lighting condi-
tions. However, due to the nature
of this technology, it is normal for
a small number of pixels to be in-
active.
The display units can be switched
between kilometers/miles and cel-
cius/farenheit. (See page 4-15.)
Speedometer
The speedometer shows the vehicle’s
traveling speed.
Tachometer
The tachometer shows the engine
speed, as measured by the rotational
velocity of the crankshaft, in revolu-
tions per minute (r/min).
NOTICE
ECA10032
Do not operate the engine in the ta-
chometer red zone.
Red zone: 9400 r/min and above
Fuel meter
The fuel meter indicates the amount of
fuel in the fuel tank. The display seg-
ments of the meter disappear from “F”
(full) towards “E” (empty) as the fuel
level decreases.
When the last segment starts flashing,
refuel as soon as possible.
TIP
If all the fuel meter display segments
flash repeatedly, have a Yamaha deal-
er inspect the vehicle.
Coolant temperature meter
The coolant temperature meter indi-
cates the radiator coolant temperature.
When the coolant is too hot, the top
segment will flash.
TIP
The coolant temperature meter is
only available in the Street theme.
If all the coolant temperature me-
ter display segments flash repeat-
edly, have a Yamaha dealer
inspect the vehicle.
Clock “ ”
The clock uses a 12-hour time system.
Transmission gear display
This shows which gear the transmis-
sion is in. This model has 6 gears and a
neutral position. The neutral position is
indicated by “
”.
TIP
If a malfunction occurs, “-” will be
shown.
