Typical setup for 5.1-channel surround speakers

We are going to omit a discussion of setting up and measuring surround speakers here, but to achieve

a suitable monitoring environment, the speakers need to be located at appropriate distances, angles,

and heights, and you should lay in a sufficient supply of speaker cable to do that

Recommended speakers are the Yamaha MSP Studio series (shown below, from the left, are the

SW10 subwoofer, MSP7 Studio, and MSP5 Studio) and HS series (shown below, from the left, are

the HS5, HS7, HS8 and HS8S subwoofer)
