5. Install the spark arrester.

TIP

Align the spark arrester lump with the hole in the muf-
fler pipe.

6. Install the screw, and then tighten the screw.

3. Remove the carbon deposits on the muffler cap,

muffler screen and spark arrester using a wire
brush.

NOTICE

When cleaning, use the wire brush lightly to avoid
damaging or scratching of the muffler screen and
spark arrester.

1. Loosen the muffler cap bolt and then remove the

muffler cap and muffler screen.
