11 MCP1 Installation Man u al
Installation
The MCP1 can b e installed on a w all in either of t w o w ays: in a gang b ox that is em b edded
b ehind the w all, or in the incl u ded s u rface mo u nt b ox w hich yo u attach to the s u rface of the
w all in an exposed position.
1.
Attach the mounting plate to the gang box or the surface mount box.
Orient it so that the side printed “TOP” is to w ard yo u rself and a b o v e.

If using a gang box
Align the elongated holes of the mo u nting place w ith the scre w holes of the gang b ox,
and sec u re it in at least t w o locations.

If using a surface mount box
Use the incl u ded scre w s w itho u t w ashers (M3.0 × 12).
CAUTION
Install the MCP1 no more than 2 meters above the floor. When MCP1 falls, it
becomes a cause by which MCP1 is damaged or you or others are injured.
If embedding the unit in a gang box installed behind the wall
Orient the gang b ox b ehind the w all in a horizontal position; into the gang b ox, pass the
ca b le that is connected to the PSE.
If installing the unit in the included surface mount box exposed on the surface of
the wall

ca b le. Open the hole in the c u to u t as necessary w ith a tool (s u ch as a plier), pass the ca b le
into the s u rface mo u nt b ox, and sec u re it u sing M4.0 flat head scre w s w hich yo u pro v ide.
