When working with an analog console it was always
necessary to check that all controls were “normalized”
before setting up a mix� This meant spending a
considerable amount of time to make sure that more than
1,000 controls (on most large consoles) were set to the
appropriate neutral positions: gain controls to minimum,
EQ controls to their flat settings, etc.
On the LS9 all channel controls are concentrated in the
Selected Channel section, and all default settings are
stored in scene number 000� So all you have to do to
normalize or “reset” the entire console is to recall scene
000�
Check Your Connections
This document presumes that you have already made the necessary connections and have set up the console for basic
sound output as described in the Quick Start Guide� Check your setup one more time before trying out the functions
described in this document�
