TO RECORD A SOURCE ON TAPE OR MD

Select the source to be recorded.

Play the source and then turn up the volume to confirm
the program source. (See page 30 for detailed
information on tuning.)

Begin recording on the tape deck, MD recorder or VCR
connected to this unit.

When a tape deck or MD recorder is being used for
recording, you can monitor the sounds being recorded
by pressing TAPE/MD MON / EXT. DECODER on the
front panel or TAPE/MD on the remote control
transmitter so that the “TAPE/MD MON” indicator lights
up on the display.

• The settings of DSP and VOLUME, BASS, TREBLE and
BALANCE have no effect on the material being recorded.
• A source that is connected to this unit only through the digital
terminals cannot be recorded by a tape deck, MD recorder or
VCR connected to this unit.
• Please check the copyright laws in your country to record
from records, compact discs, radio, etc. Recording of
copyright material may infringe copyright laws.
If you use a video source that has scrambled or encoded
signals to prevent it from being dubbed, there may be a case
that the picture itself will be affected by those signals.
