Power unit
The new 6EV engine, developed based on the 6AN engine, produces higher output. The engine
components have been improved in strength and optimized for better functionality to handle higher
output.
Major changes Description

High-performance super-
charger
Larger diameter impeller (from ø82 mm to ø86 mm)
Addition of fins (from 5 fins to 7 fins) to increase supercharged
pressure
2 Large-sized air cooler
Enlarged internal core improves cooling efficiency and
increases air density.
3 High-efficiency oil cooler
Regulates the engine temperature increase due to higher out-
put.
4 Forged piston
Improved strength
Shape of piston head has been changed to improve combus-
tion efficiency and to reduce pollutants in the exhaust gases.
5 Piston pin Improved strength
6 Fuel injector Increased fuel flow
7 Spark plug Heat range has been changed (from LFR6A to LFR7A).
