1. Install:

• Top ring

• 2nd ring

• Oil ring

NOTE:

• Be sure to install the second ring so that the

manufactures mark

faces towards the

piston head.

• Make sure that the piston rings move

smoothly.

2. Apply 4-stroke engine oil to the inside of

the connecting rod small end.

• Make sure that the “YAMAHA” mark

the connecting rod faces toward the crank-
case cover.
