The 

CRW2200UX

 drive can be connected or disconnected to or from your computer 

at any time whether the computer is turned on or off (hot swapping).
When removing the 

CRW2200UX

 drive with the computer turned on, or when 

turning off the drive with the computer connected, follow the procedure below.

Exit the writing software.

Be sure to remove any disc from the disc tray.

For Windows 98 Second Edition, remove the drive.
For Windows Me/2000 Professional, start the “Unplug or Eject 
Hardware” on the Windows taskbar and perform the necessary steps to 
remove the drive.

* Screen displayed in Windows Me environment.

Note

When writing, be sure not to disconnect the USB cable or any USB devices from the drive, and do 
not connect any USB devices either.
