FRONT FORK

EAS00653

DISASSEMBLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS

The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.

1. Remove:

clamp/boot

2. Remove:

cap

stopper ring

collar/O-ring

fork spring

NOTICE

The collar/O-ring and fork spring jump out
after removing stopper ring.

3. Drain:

fork oil

TIP

Stoke the outer tube several times while drain-
ing the fork oil.

4. Remove:

damper rod assembly bolt

copper washer

TIP

While holding the damper rod with the damper
rod holder

and T- handle

, loosen the damper

rod assembly bolt.
