You may need to adjust your clamps. Choose
the appropriate slot for your crossbar.

Use the security wrench to remove
the screws from the top of the
clamps. Then insert the screw
through the slots in the rod holder
and install the clamps. Fully
tighten to 3.9 Nm (35 in-lbs.)

Close the mounts.
Rotate the T-bolts and
open the clamps. Then
place the mounts onto
the crossbar.

Close the clamps, rotate the
T-bolts, and fully tighten the knobs.
With the knobs at a 45°
angle, use the security
wrench to tighten the
security screws. Check
that the knob doesn’t turn.

Note:
For Yakima
HD bar, remove the
T-bolts from the
knobs first. Close
the clamps and
insert the T-bolts
rotated 90º from
the bottom. Then
attach the knobs
and fully tighten.

Test the installation by
pushing and pulling in all
directions. If the mount is
loose, verify that the clamps
are in the appropriate
position (step 1) and that
the knobs are adequately
tightened (step 4).
