4. Maintenance
4.1. Internal battery charging
The transmitter multicolor LED (see figure 1, LED 19) indicates the battery charge state. It can
light up in one of the following colors: Green indicates that the battery is fully charged, yellow is
half-charged, red is close to exhaustion and within an hour the transmitter will switch off. If this
case, pay attention because the range of the transmitter will be reduced.
WARNING:
-
The transmitter is equipped with an internal battery not replaceable from the
user. The battery can be only charged wireless using the charger provided by
Yacht Controller.
However, other wireless chargers on the market may be compatible.
-
It’s necessary to do a full recharge of the transmitter at least once a month,
otherwise the battery capacity may be reduced, and decrease the transmitter
operation time.
-
If the battery is not recharged at least once every three months, it becomes
unusable because, in order to avoid fires or explosions, it is equipped with a
protection system that inhibits operation in case of a completely depleted charge.
If the battery gets completely exhausted, it will be necessary to replace it at the
Yacht Controller laboratories.
IMPORTANT:
In case of non-compliance with the rules of use, the battery replacement WILL NOT
BE COVERED BY WARRANTY.
