Setting up the Components for Desktop Use
When using the MA IV for desktop use, it is best to use a
desktop monitor which requires the optional Full Port
Replicator.
To set up the MA IV for desktop use:

Plug the port replicator into the
I/O
port
of the CPU.
The full port replicator has the following
ports: USB, Printer, Serial, FDD (floppy drive),
Mouse, Keyboard, Headphone, Mic, Line In,
and Video. The mini port replicators provide
ports for either a keyboard and diskette drive,
or a serial and parallel port.

Attach the monitor or display unit of choice.
– If you have the full port replicator, plug the VGA
desktop monitor cable into its
Video
port. Plug
the monitor power cable into a wall outlet.
– If you don’t have a full port replicator, plug either
the FPD or the HMD into the
HMD
port of the
CPU.
