4.7 User management configuration

Step 1: Go to Main Menu > Setup > Users (refer to Fig 4-39)

Step 1:
To add a new user to the system click “ Add” button and a new window will pop-up (refer to Fig 4-40), which will
bring up 2 sub-
menus: “General” and “Authority”

Setting up General:

Step 1: The user can
input a suitable “User Name”, “Password” and also select a “User Type” (i.e. Normal or
Advanced)
o
Step 2: By selecting the check-
box “Binding PC MAC Address” the new user can be limited to access the DVR from a
specific address only.
The “PC MAC Address” can then be added in the corresponding field below.
Note:
If the “PC MAC Address” is set as the default “00-00-00-00-00-00”, the user is not bound to a specified
computer.

Click “OK” to save any changes
