Quick Reference Guide

Scan

This chapter contains information about the options available within

Network

Scanning.

NOTE:

Network Scanning is an optional feature which may not be available on

your machine. For information about the options available for each configuration,
please refer to the Product Overview chapter.

If

Network Scanning

has been enabled, an electronic file can be created from a hard

copy original. The scanned document is converted to an electronic file and stored
electronically. The electronic file can be filed, faxed, or distributed through e-mail.

Scanning Resources

There are other sources of information available:

CentreWare Network Scanning Services

Enables the installation, set up and management of Network Scanning Services on
the network. Network Scanning Services is composed of several different elements
that work together to create and deliver the scanned document to its final
destination. Refer to the

CentreWare Network Scanning Services Pack

delivered

with the Scanning Services Kit.

CentreWare Internet Services

Internet Services is the embedded HTTP server application that is available on
network enabled models. Internet Services enables you to access printing and
scanning features, view status, manage jobs, and perform machine management
tasks using a browser application over the Internet or intranet. To access Internet
Services open your web browser and enter the machine’s IP Address in the
Address or Location field.
