Control Panel Messages

Duplex Unit Fail
(or Removed)
The duplex unit has failed or has been removed. Printing using this device
cannot resume until reinstalled or repaired. If the problem persists, contact
your service provider.
Enter Password
The Password Menu has been invoked and entry of a password is
requested.
Env. Feeder Fail
(or Removed)
The Envelope Feeder is detached or has failed. Printing using this device
cannot resume until reinstalled or repaired. If the problem persists, contact
your service provider.
Env. Feeder Jam
Remove All Envel
A paper jam has occurred when feeding from the Envelope Feeder.
Remove all envelopes, then refer back to the Control Panel for further
messages.
Exit Jam-
Open Rear Cover
A paper jam has occurred at the exit path to output bin. Open the printer’s
rear cover, then refer back to the Control Panel for further messages.
Face Up Bin Open
The face up bin is open while the duplex unit is being selected. Close the
face up bin to resume printing.
Flash Error
Format Flash
Displayed when Flash Memory error is found. Format flash memory as per
the instructions for
“Flash Format” (page 1-109). If the problem persists,
contact your service provider.
Format Failed
Disk Locked
The printer cannot format the disk because the disk has been locked via a
PJL or SNMP command.
Fuser Failure
Power Off/On
The fuser assembly has failed or is not installed. Printing cannot resume.
Power off and power on the printer. If the problem persists, contact your
service provider.
