In the fulk stage,
the charging
converter (battery
DC input) does not
deliver its full
charging current

hot. Charging current
reduced.
Charging current is
restored when internal
temperature has dropped
sufficiently.
Alternator cannot supply
enough current.
Other large consumers are
on and/or the alternator is
too light for the

In the bulk stage,

controller (Solar
input) does not
deliver its full

Solar panels produce too
little energy to provide the
full charging current.
The charge controller
depends on the panel yield.
This will always fluctuate.
Charging process
is completed, but
the battery is not
full
Battery sulphated.
Check the battery.
A battery is
connected to the
input or output,
but the charging
converter does not
detect it.
No/poor contact between
battery and converter.
Check all connections and
fuses.
With LiFePO4 battery:
the BMS has disconnected
the battery
Activate the BMS by
external charger.
Internal fuse defective
Return the converter to
your supplier or
manufacturer.
