Air Cleaner
The air cleaner should be cleaned at least once every 30 days of use. Service more
frequently when riding in an un-usually dusty area.
1. Remove the air cleaner from the frame
2. Disassemble the cleaner and remove the filter
3. Wash the filter in clean non-flammable solvent and let it air dry. Never
use Gasoline to clean the filter.
4. Soak it in engine oil class 15W/40Q until saturated and then squeeze out
the excess oil.
5. Clean the inside and outside of the air cleaner housing.
6. Install the filter and re-assemble/install the air cleaner.
CAUTION – Never start the engine with the air cleaner removed.
Brake System
Front Drum Brake
The distance the front brake lever moves before the brake starts to engage is called free
play. Measure to the tip of the front brake lever. The free play should be within
10-20mm. To make adjustments, either loosen or tighten the tension screws on the left
hand brake lever by rotating them until the desired tension is obtained.
Rear Hydraulic Disc Brake
The XA-150 is equipped with a set of single-cylinder disc brakes. Be careful to check the
brake fluid levels in the main cylinder located on the left handlebar. Always use
non-petroleum brake fluid # 4604. Never mix with other oils or serious damage can
occur to the braking system.
