Remote Control
Typically, unless problems with device communication through
the matrix are encountered, basic operation is all that is required.
However, the following information on advanced operation will
detail how matrix system settings can be altered or data manually
input should such problems arise.
Setting Menu
Setting mode offers 5 sub-menus to choose from:
• EDID
• LC (Long Cable Mode)
• IR (Infrared)
• EQ (Equaliser)
• RST (Factory Reset)
On selection of a mode, a warning screen will
flash up to confirm the change made will effective
from the next power up. ‘Click OK’

EDID Mode
The EDID Mode has 6 options available to encourage device communication
.
1.
If the matrix is unable to automatically read the EDID from
an input device or display, the selection of
full copy
, together
with your chosen
output
and
input number
, will enable the
matrix to copy EDID from one device to the other to actively
force
HDCP compatibility
between them.
For example: if output 3 is selected, followed by
input 8, the EDID from output 3 will be copied to input
8.
2.
As above, but the selection of
Limited Copy excludes
Deep Colour
from the EDID to avoid discrepancies in colour
between input and output. This can be useful if the display
still shows signs of ‘noise’ or interference. The exclusion of
Deep Colour from the EDID reduces bandwidth to allow the
signal to pass through the switch easier.
Occasionally, issues with the conflicting audio limits
of devices may result in problems with sound.
3.
Setting the matrix to instruct inputs to only output an
embedded EDID audio limit of 1080p 2 channel (stereo) will
ensure all devices only output in 2 channel audio.
4.
As above but inputs are set to output to a limit of 1080p 5.1
audio.
5.
As above but inputs are set to output to a limit of 1080p 7.1
audio.
6.
As above but inputs are set to output to a limit of 1080i 2
channel (stereo) audio.

OUTPUT
INPUT
Remote control operation is the same regardless of location -
locally
(emitter) or
remotely
(receiver).
1.
Select an
output display
first (1-16)
2.
Select an
input source
(1-8) or use the “previous/next”
buttons buttons to scroll connected inputs in numerical order.
Note:
selection of an input must be made in less than 4
seconds or the remote will revert to output selection mode.
Two way control is restricted at the display end to selection of
inputs 1 - 8 using the “previous/next buttons”. From one display
location, the control of other displays in the Matrix is not possible.
