Firmware Upgrade Process
1. Run the application WTEBoot.exe – this is the WTE Firmware Update Tool as shown
above.
2. MReX must be connected to a TTL serial cable, please refer to the “
Loading Configura-
tion
”
section of this manual for more information.
3. Press the “
Select Hex”
button on the WTE Firmware Update Tool and select the appropri-
ated MReX firmware file.
4. Confirm that the App FW Ver displayed is the version described in the file name.
5. Select the correct COM port on the WTE Firmware Update Tool
6. Press “
Open COM
” button on the WTE Firmware Update Tool
7. Press a button on the MReX-5B that will result in a transmission, and then keep that button
pressed.
8. Press “
Update Firmware
” on the WTE Firmware Update Tool to send the new firmware to
the MReX.
9. Button may be released now.
10. Wait for the WTE Firmware Update Tool to indicate that programming has been completed.
The MReX now is ready and the WTE Firmware Update Tool can be closed.
