helps prevent missing all or part of a transmission when you are primarily concerned
with a single channel.
Priority Channel Scanning works by scanning your priority channel in between all
other channels. For example, if your priority channel is 3 the radio would scan your
channel list in the following order:

To set a priority channel, use the [PRI-CH] menu item (page 51). To activate
the Priority Channel Scanning feature, use the [PRI-SCN] menu item (page 51).
Individual channels can be added or removed from the scan list using the Scan Add
[SCAN-ADD] menu option (page 51).
Scanning CTCSS / DCS Codes
The KG-S88G is equipped with the ability to scan an incoming signal for a CTCSS or
DCS tone and update the current channel’s tone settings once the tone is identified.
