PRIOR TO USE
Unpacking
Unpack the appliance and check that all parts are included. If any part is missing or dam-
aged, contact your dealer immediately. Dispose all packing material according to local regu-
lations.
Package content (Fig. 1):
1. Band saw
2. Table
3. Table aligning bolt, washer and wing nut
4. Miter gage
5. Adjusting wrenches
6. Table locking handle and washer
Mounting the band saw (Fig. 2)
For permanent mounting, secure the band saw to a flat surface such as a bench.
1. Position the machine.
2. Mark the four holes (A) with a pen.
3. Remove the band saw and drill four holes with a diameter of 10 mm where marked.
4. Reposition the band saw and from the top insert the M10 bolts. Fit the washers and tight-
en the nuts underneath (bolts, washers and nuts are not included to the delivery).
Mounting the band saw table (Fig. 3-5)
1. Remove the bolt (H, Fig. 5) and wing nut (I, Fig. 5) from the table (A, Fig. 3) if they are fixed
on the table.
2. Put table (A, Fig. 3) onto the band saw frame making sure that the blade (B, Fig. 3) travels
through the slot (C, Fig. 3) in the table and that the mounting rib on the frame engages
the groove on the inside of the trunnion (D, Fig. 4).
3. Lock the table in horizontal position by means of the table locking knob (E, Fig. 4). Place
the flat washer (F, Fig. 4) on the threaded end of the locking knob and tighten the screw
(G, Fig. 4) of the table locking knob with a hex wrench moving the grip of the knob (E, Fig.
4) backwards to prevent it from turning. When the table is almost locked, use the grip to
secure it tightly. (The locking knob is spring loaded on the screw and is disengaged by
moving the knob towards the screw head.)
4. Tighten the bolt (H, Fig. 5) and wing nut (I, Fig. 5).
ADJUSTMENTS AND OPERATING CONTROLS
Opening and closing the blade casing cover (Fig. 6-7)
For making adjustments (e.g. adjusting, changing or tracking the blade or adjusting the
blade guide etc.), the blade casing cover (A, Fig. 6) must be opened as follows:
1. Loosen the two screws (B, Fig. 6) in the two cover knobs (C, Fig. 6) with a screwdriver and
open the cover. The blade casing cover (A) is shown in the open position in Fig. 7.
2. Close and fasten the cover making sure that the screws are inserted in the two holes (D,
Fig. 7) and tighten them carefully with a screwdriver.
Warning! Never open the blade casing cover when the machine is running.
