It is recommend to
lubricate threaded shafts
to prevent the Nyloc nuts
from freezing due to friction
(Vaseline or Copper Slip is
recommended).
NOTE: The Roof Structure is a

The Nyloc nuts must only be
tightened to the point where the
Nyloc nut holds firmly onto the
threaded shaft. Do not over tighten
to the point where the rolling
system or side rollers are jammed.

STEP 6
Identify and properly align the PVC washers in their correct position between the vertical structure with
gearbox/winch and the rollers as illustrated.
Align the square shaft on the center roller with the square opening on the gear box. Insert the shaft into
the gearbox, if it does not fit properly, turn back the crank holder on the gear box until the square hole is
aligned and insert.
Place the female PVC spacer against the gear box on the outside of the square shaft center pole and
add the stainless steel washer and Nyloc nut.
Insert the threaded shafts of the side rollers into each of the side arms and add the stainless steel
washers and remaining Nyloc nuts.
Tighten the Nyloc nuts to the point where they hold firm, but the rollers still rotate freely.
STEP 7
Identify and properly align the PVC washers in their correct positions between the vertical structure (idler
side) and rollers as illustrated.
Insert the threaded shafts on the side rollers into each of the side arms and add all the stainless steel
washers and remaining Nyloc nuts.
Tighten the Nyloc nuts to the point they hold firm, but the rollers still rotate freely.
