Position the vertical structure (idler side) at 90º, so that the stainless steel pins with chains are facing outwards.
Note: it is recommended that you use cotton gloves when handling the canopy to avoid dirty
marks on the canvas. Ensure that you are working in a clean area with ample space. It is
advisable to lay the roof structure on a clean surface so the cover bag and roof canopy do not
get marks from a dirty surface. The plastic covering can be used for this purpose.
Using scissors, cut down the length of the plastic bag containing the roof
structure.The clean inner surface can then be used as a working surface. Cut the
cable ties which holds the roof structure together (center rollers, side rollers and
canopy). Be careful to not cut or damage the fabric.
Remove the roof structure & canopy from the protective tube.
The wooden end plugs are secured using screws which must
be removed to get the end plugs out.
The two ends of the protective cover bag are folded back over
the roof structure. These must be carefully pulled outwards
before unzipping. Remove the protective cover bag by undoing
the zipper.
There are 3 threaded shafts at each end of the roof structure. One end of the roof structure has a
square shaft on the center roller. This shaft fits into the gear box on the vertical structure with
gear box. Before positioning the vertical structures, decide at which end you want to position the
gear box. The gear box is used for opening and closing the structure and must be accessible with the
crank handle. The minimum recommended space requirement is 20”. Once you have decided, place
the vertical structure at 90º to the roof structure so that the gear box faces outwards. The chains with
stainless steel pins on the vertical structure should also face outwards (away from the roof structure)
