valve has been provided with  this appliance.

1. Check  gas  type. The  gas  supply  must  be  the  same  as stated on the

appliance’s rating decal. If the gas supplyis different from the fireplace,

3. After completing gas line connection, purge air fromgas line

and test all gas joints from the gas meter to thefireplace for leaks.
Use a solution of 50/50 water andsoap or a gas sniffer.

4. To adjust flame height, turn HI/LO knob to HI to getmaximum

pressure  to  burner.  Turn  HI/LO  knob  to  LO to  get  minimum
pressure.

5. To  check  gas  pressures  at  valve,  turn  captured  screwcounter

clockwise  2  or  3  turns  and  then  place  tubingto pressure gauge
over  test  point.  Turn  unit  to  high.

See Figure  34.

After  taking

pressure reading, be sure and turn captured screw clockwise firmly

to reseal. Do not overtorque. Check test points for gas leaks.

6. The  appliance  and  its  appliance  main  gas  valve  must  be

disconnected   from  the  gas  supply  piping  system  during  any
pressure testing of that system at test pressures in excess of 1/2 psi
(3.5  kPa).  The  appliance  must  be  isolated  from  the  gas  supply
piping  system  by  closing  its  equipment  shutoff  valve  during  any
pressure  testing  of  the  gas  supply  piping  system  at  test  pressures
equal to or less than 1/2 psi (3.5 kPa).

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
