Up/Down Operation

1.

Install a blade and check for correct blade tension.

(

See Section 2.4

).

2.

Set the cutting head to the desired height. (The blade height scale shows the height of the
blade above the bed rails.)

See Figure 2-7.

The up/down switch is located on the right side of the control panel. Push

the switch up to raise the cutting head; push the switch down to lower the cutting head.
Hold the switch in position until the cutting head reaches the desired height, then release.

The up/down switch is designed to return to the neutral position when released. If the
switch remains engaged, manually move it to the neutral position. Repair the switch. (

CAUTION!

DO NOT try to force the carriage above the 35”

(88 cm) mark or below the 1” (2.54 cm) mark. Damage to
the up/down system may result.
