Chip Breaker Adjustments

See Figure 3-14.

Adjust the chip breaker in front of cutting head #4 so it is positioned 1/8”

- 1/4” below the lowest portion of the profile blade. To adjust the front chip breaker verti-
cally, loosen the two locking bolts and turn the adjustment handle. Retighten the locking
bolts. The pressure of the front chip breaker can be adjusted by turning the two pressure
adjustment screws. The chip breaker can be adjusted toward or away from the blade by
loosening the mounting screws on the bottom side of the breaker pads. Adjust the plate
1/8” - 1/4” from the blade and retighten the mounting screws.
