SECTION 6 MAINTENANCE
This section lists the maintenance procedures that need to be performed.

dures and intervals. Keep a log of machine maintenance by recording in the machine hours and
the date you perform each procedure.
This symbol
identifies the interval (hours of operation) at which each maintenance procedure
should be performed.
Be sure to refer to option and engine manuals for other maintenance procedures.

Wear Life
See Table 6-1.
This chart lists estimated life expectancy of common replacement parts if proper
maintenance and operation procedures are followed. Due to the many variables which exist
during sawmill operation, actual part life may vary significantly. This information is provided so
that you may plan ahead in ordering replacement parts.
6.2
Blade Guides
WARNING!
Turn the key switch to the OFF (#0) position and remove the key
prior to performing service near moving parts such as blades, pulleys, motors,
belts, or chains. Failure to follow this may result in serious injury or death.

Check the rollers for performance and wear every blade change. Make sure the rollers are clean
and spinning freely. If not, replace them. Replace any rollers which have worn smooth or have
become cone shaped.

Sawdust Removal
WARNING!

prior to performing service near moving parts such as blades, pulleys, motors,
belts, or chains. Failure to follow this may result in serious injury or death.
Remove the excess sawdust from the blade wheel housings and sawdust chute every blade
change.
