5 ESD Measurement
5.1 Condensed Instructions
Open the R
ESD
menu. Select the test voltage menu.
Select the test voltage. Start measurement.
Press the START key briefly to perform a single, one-time measurement.
If measurement needs to be performed over a longer period of time, the
START key must be pressed and held for the desired test duration.
5.1.1 Setting Limit Values – LIMIT Function
A limit value can be selected for resistance R
ESD
with the LIMIT key. If
measurement values occur which exceed the selected limit value, the red
LIMIT LED lights up.
Select the limit value menu. Set the limit value.
Setting the Limit Value:
Display the desired numbers, and if required the decimal point, with the
help of the
and keys. Select the desired numbers with the appro-
priate softkeys. Each time an entry is made, the cursor moves one place
to the right. After a maximum of three numbers and the unit of
measure (k, M or G) have been entered, the entry window is exited
automatically. The cursor can be moved one place to the right during data
entry by pressing the
®
softkey, or the entry window can be exited. The
selected limit value is automatically saved to memory when the data entry
window is exited.
