3.0 Maintenance
3.1 Transport/folding handle (B)
► The handle of the machine may be folded over for
transport.
- Unscrew the clamping lever of the handle fastener (2)
in order to fold down the handle for transport.
►
The carrying grip (19) may be use
3.2 Mounting segments (C)
►
Information on quick exchange of grinding seg -
ments
- The grinding segments are inserted intothe groove
and wedged outward by hammering slightly (soft-head
hammer).
- When grinding, the centrifugal force presses thegrin-
ding segments to the outside.
- To replace worn segments, strike them to the inside
with a gentle hammer blow.
When centered, they can be removed easily.
3.3 Recommended segments (D)
►
ES-segment: For preparing screed
For grinding and removing sintered layers of
screed and for removing thin paint layers on soft
mineral substrates.
Diamond segment ES, grit 20
#56306
Diamond segment ES, grit 40
#56308
Diamond segment ES, grit 60
#56309
►
PCD-segment:
#48028
For aggressive removal of PU coatings, putty mass
and tile adhesives (for thick adhesive layers).
►
BT-segment: For preparing concrete substrates
For grinding concrete, coatings and highgrade
com-pounds and for removing thin paint layers on
hard substrates.
Diamond segment BT, grit 20 #48038
Diamond segment BT, grit 40 #48041
Diamond segment BT, grit 60 #56303
►
PCD-splinter segment
#48036
For removing thin epoxy resin layers, paint, syn-
thetic resin, PU and dispersion adhesive. Well
suited for removing fleece backing and textile
double backing. (On hard sub-surfaces only.)
3.4 Set level regulator/body carriage (E)
►
The machine must be positioned horizontally when
sanding/milling segments are attached.
For this purpose, the body carriage (7) may be read-
justed via the elongated holes of the level regulator (6).
If the sanding segments have been used up, then
the machine may also be re-adjusted via the level
regulator (6) and positioned horizontally again.
The position may be checked using the provid
spirit level on the motor head
3.5 Dust extraction
► Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful
to one’s health. Touching or inhaling the dusts can
cause allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory
infections of the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are consi-
de red carcinogenic, especially in connection with
wood-treatment additives (chromate, wood preservati-
ve). Materials containing asbestos may only be worked
on by specialists.
– Use dust extraction whenever possible.
– Provide for good ventilation of the work area.
– The use of a P2 filter class respirator is recommended.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials to be worked.
The vacuum cleaner must be approved for the extrac-
tion of masonry dust. WOLFF provides:
Cleaner VACUCLEAN #21014
Insert the suction hose of the vacuum cleaner in
the adapter (18) of the machine.
