Verify the duct run is the
correct size, including:

Damper is installed

No excessive length.

No air box used.
Correct the duct issue.
Blower motor is not
changing speeds.

For internal blowers,
remove the ducting
above.

For inline blowers,
remove the ducting
on the inlet and
outlet.
▪
For external blowers,
remove the inlet
ducting.
Note: Restrictions in the
ducting can prevent an
audible speed change.
If there is no noticeable
speed change, refer to

”. If
there is a speed change,
review the ducting again
for restrictions.
Filters are dirty.
Remove the filters to test
for unobstructed airflow,
then clean the filters.
Insufficient make-up air.
Open an outside door or
window to test the
airflow.
Wrong size motor.
Check the motor size,
and replace if necessary.
