4.3 Vacuum
system
Vacuum components which are subject to carry and which are relevant to safety must be in-
spected regularly. To this purpose

Check the components for the correct fit and for mechanical damages
daily
, especially
on:
•
the suction cups (if necessary tighten the hose band clamps or replace the suction
pads),
•
the hoses (if necessary tighten the screws or replace the hoses),
•
the vacuum gauges.
The vacuum pump runs fully oil-free. The robust design permit almost maintenance-free op-
eration.
The intrusion of dust into the vacuum pump is prevented by a filter screwed in into each indi-
vidual suction cup. Maintenance of the vacuum system concentrates therefore on this con-
struction unit:

without load somewhat. The filter is in the through-hole for the
connection of the vacuum hose. Should be dirt at the filter, then remove the filter.
