5. Before washing
Before washing may be started the machine has to be made ready for operation.
- Open the isolation valve on site.
- Switch on main switch on site.
- Check whether the surface strainers are inserted correctly into the wash tank.
- Insert the standpipe with a slight turn tightly closing into the wash tank.
- Turn the rinse pipes to the bottom.
- Switch on mains switch (1) (is lit when switched on).
The tank is filled automatically.
When the required water level in the tank has been reached the boiler heating starts to heat
up the rinse water to the operating temperature of appr. 85°C and afterwards the tank hea-
ting starts to heat up the tank water to the operating temperature of appr. 58°C.
During heating up the white pilot light „ready for operation“ (2) is lit. The heating time depends
on the temperature of the incoming water and takes appr. 20-30 minutes with cold water
(15°C) connection.
- Check at the sight slot in the front panel that there is sufficient rinse aid in the rinse aid
container. If necessary refill.
Care has to be taken that the rinse aid container never gets completely empty after the first
filling. Rinse aid dosing is automatical. As rinse aid we recommend our Winterhalter Gastro-
nom rinse aid.
- Add 50g of detergent (powder) to the heated tank water.
Please consider, that the concentration of the wash water constantly reduces by the number
of racks inserted, therefore after aproximately 5 cycles detergent has to be redosed.
