LOCK/ UNLOCK CASTERS (Total-Lock vs. Directional)
1.
Total-Lock casters
will lock wheel and swivel mechanism
by using your foot & pushing down on the tab. Both front
and the right-rear casters are Total-Locks. These are
identified with lighter gray tabs.
Directional caster
aids with steering the chair
(Left rear
only)
. The tab locks the swivel mechanism; The wheel
does not lock on this caster. It is identified with a darker
gray tab.

2. Release the locking mechanisms by pushing the above
described tabs back to horizontal position.

TO POSITION SIDE TABLES
1. To raise table, grasp side of table and gently raise into
place. Table will automatically lock into place when
released.

2. To lower table, grasp table at the center, raise and pivot
down in one movement.

RAISE/ LOWER DROP-ARMS
(Models 655 /657only)
BEFORE RAISING OR LOWERING, BE SURE USER IS
CLEAR OF DROP-ARM.

To Lower:
Grasp armrest in center; use free hand to LIFT
the Drop-Arm Release Handle. Drop-Arm will disengage
and you can then lower it to the fully dropped position.

To Raise:
Firmly pull straight up in the center of the
armrest. Make sure both armrests are locked into
place before transporting user.

NOTE:
It is recommended that you periodically lubricate the
channels of the drop arms with your approved silicone base
lubricant spray to keep the parts moving freely.
DO NOT
lean or sit on side tables.
Tables may break and cause injury.
DO NOT
allow patients to raise from chair using side tables.
DO NOT
raise & lower Drop-Arms with tables in an upright
position. (655/657 only)
