MAINTENANCE
There are a couple of maintenance procedures that you should carry out at least once a year.
BURNER:
Once a year, remove the burner and inspect it for any signs of blockage. If necessary, clear any obstructions with compressed air or short piece of stiff wire.
Remove any rust and dirt with a wire brush. Replace the burner.
GAS SUPPLY:
Inspect the gas hose and fittings for signs of deterioration and replace if necessary.
Test the entire gas delivery system for leaks using the technique described in ‘IGNITING’.
CART:
Do a quick check of all the screws and retighten if necessary.
CAST IRON PLATE:
Regularly season the plate. To prevent rust lightly spray with canola oil.
