degree of the saturation of the filter, When the pressure reached 0.3bar,
“BACKWASH” should be carried out. The main drain, water pump valves
and skimmer valves will be regulated according to the quantity of floating
material found on the surface. If the surface sweep of the skimmer is to be
stronger, reduce the flow from water pump, reduce the flow from the main
drain, If the surface sweep of the skimmer is to be weaker, increase the
flow from water pump, increase the flow from the main drain.
BACKWASH
Each load of filter material forms thousands of channels which pick up all
the material contained and caught up in the filtering process. The number
of free channels allowing the water to pass is continually decreasing. This
is why the pressure raised progressively until it reaches 0.3bar.
At this pressure, the filter material is unable to collect any more particles
and must be cleaned as follows: Turn the selector valve to the “BACK-
WASH” position and with the main drain open and return valves closed.
Switch on the pump and run it for 4 minutes. When this operation is com-
pleted, the dirt block in the filter will have been removed.
RINSE
After the carrying out the “BACKWASH” operation on the filter and placing
the installation in the “FILTRATION” position. The water flowing into the
pool will be cloudy from a few seconds. So to prevent it from reaching the
pool there is “RINSE” position from the selector valve which is operated as
following: immediately after the “BACKWASH” put the valve in the “RINSE”
position and switch on the pump fro 1 minute, after which the pump is
switched off and the valve placed in the “FILTRATION” position.
CAUTION: this position ensures that the filtered water goes directly to the
drain.
WASTE
If the pool need to be drained, this can be done using the filter pump. In
order to do this, the selector valve should be in the “WASTE” position.
Please make sure the water pump valve is fully open to obtain maximum
efficiency of drain.
CLOSED
“CLOSED”position is for closing off the water from water pump to filter. So
you can open your filter and clean it.
CAUTION
For maintenance
1> do not use solvents for cleaning the filter, this could damage the filter,
especially its finish.
2> always replace the joints and pieces that may not be in good condition.
3> “BACKWASH” and “RINSE” when needed, as instructions specified in
this manual.
4> Clean the UV-C lamp every year for a better performance with solid or
liquid product. It is recommended to change the filter materials inside the
filter approximately every two year.
